Linda is an educator, elected public servant, and community volunteer who has devoted her career to promoting student success and to enhancing the quality of life in her community. Linda served as public school educator for over 35 years, as classroom teacher and administrator, focusing on student achievement.

Linda serves as New Haven Unified School District Board Trustee, currently as Board President, successfully promoting a grass-roots community effort to rename a middle school in honor of Filipino-American farm labor leaders Larry Itliong and Phillip Vera Cruz, the first public school in the U.S. to be named for Filipino-Americans.

Linda also serves as President of the Alameda County School Boards Association and in leadership roles in local civic organizations and within her parish.

Nationally, Linda is supporting “Teachers Righting History” project and the Empowerment 2020 Foundation project, both highlighting and advocating the roles of women in our society.
